I plan on writing reviews on a number of brokers here's a list of 4 that im pretty familliar with and i'll give you a quick rundown to make do for now.

Oanda

One of the best places to start a demo, their demo's never expire and the java based browser trade station is somewhat unique and easy to use- trade off the charts directly. Oanda lets you trade in incriments down to 1 unit! (Most brokers minimum trade is mini-lots or lots which are 10,000 units and 100,000 units). Oanda pays interest on your account balance and cost of carry at rollover beats anything ive seen to date. Obviously one of my favourites but the MS java plugin that they use is anoying at times. If your new and insist on trading with real money a good place to start and loose less of your shirt in the process!

Forex Capital Markets (FXCM)

Nice simple and stable interface, active website and community, lots of new improvements lately. Free charts (Marketshot), they also run FXDaily.com which is available on PDA avantgo. Free 30 day demos and funding the account is easy with your VISA, no extra fees.

FX Solutions
Advanced Trade station with many great features, hedging ability trade in mini-lots of full lots. Multiple free charting packages to choose from. Always has promotions for new members. Free 30 day trials (charts still work after demo expires!)

Global Forex Trading (GFT)
One of the slickest looking tradestations, with advanced charts and lots of great features. I have not checked them out in a while, but look forward to doing a full review of where they stand today. They are well represented by users an a few trading communities over the internet. Free 30 day trial, they will probably phone you after signing up for the demo.
